Palm members Kasra Kurt and Eve Alpert have teamed up with by Matt Andereg (Body Meat and Mothers collaborator) to release two new singles 'Copycat' and 'Killing It' from their electronic project Kassie Krut. Both tracks are slices of glitched experimental electronica, layered textures of warped synths and samples over left-field electronic beats, with the same erratic rhythmic pulses that define Palm, recalling early 2010s electronic acts like Animal Collective and Yeasayer. This is the first new music since their debut track was released as part of compilation for the Philadelphia label Nino Tomorrow, no mention of a longer release to follow up and still no word of future Palm material, however this promising side project is enough to satiate for a while. -Toby Evans-Jesra
